March 16 (Sunday) – In place of the usual monthly meeting, there will instead be a brunch on Sunday, March 16. Come and discuss the presidential campaign with old and new friends. There is a cover charge of $10 dollars, with checks made out to “LCR VA”, except for those members who have paid their dues for 2008 (or pay them at the door). Dues are $50 for singles; $80 for couples; $10 for at-large; and for students, half whichever category otherwise applies.
The brunch will be held from 12 noon until 4 pm at the home of Carl Jackson & Si Snow (2006 Braddock Court in Alexandria). From I-395, take the King Street East exit, then right at the first light (Menokin) and an immediate right onto Van Dorn. At the next light go left onto West Braddock Rd. and then right at the second street (Braddock Ct.). If Braddock Court is full, park at the St. Stevens Middle School lot, which is directly across West Braddock from the entrance to Braddock Court.

The Only Question That Matters:Do People Choose Their Sexual Orientation?
Noted author Chandler Burr has written a new white paper for the Liberty Education Fourm. Burr's white paper clearly demonstrates that we already know the answer to this question--people don't choose their sexual orientation. This has important political implications and it's a powerfull tool for achieving equality.
Barry Goldwater, speaking in 1981: "I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that, if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in A, B, C, or D . . . .I am even more angry as a legislator who must endure the threats of every religious group who thinks it has some God-granted right to control my vote on every roll call in the Senate."
