POSTPONED! The 7th Annual LCR-VA PAC reception and fundraiser. The speaker and date are still to be announced. A PAC contribution, with the check make out to LCR-VA PAC, is required at either the $35, $100, $250, or $500 level. The reception will be from 6:30 until 9 pm at historic Gadsby’s Tavern, which is located at 138 N. Royal Street in “Old Town” Alexandria.

June 8 (Sunday) – DC Pride Day Parade and other events. Volunteer to help staff the Log Cabin information booth at the DC Pride Day Festival (the booth will be a joint activity with the DC chapter and LCR National, though the Virginia chapter will take the lead by reserving the site and securing the equipment and services needed).
June 14 (Saturday) - Primary Voting (to select the Republican Candidate in Virginia Congressional Districts in which there are more than one Republican Candidate).
June 18 (Wednesday)—DC LCR Chapter social at Nellies Sports Bar, 900 U Street N.W. (corner of U and 9th Streets). 6:00 to 8 PM. Join Log Cabin members from across the river to discuss election year politics.
June 28 – Join a house party with others from the region at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Confirmation, location, and other information is TBD.

July 13 (Sunday) -
In lieu of the usual monthly meeting, we will gather on Sunday, July 13, for our annual summer picnic. For a
low suggested donation of $10, eat from the grill and help empty a keg of beer.

The picnic will be held from 1 to 4 at the home of Daniel Gri and James Abbott, which is located on 10329 Hickory Forest Drive in Fairfax, just off Hunter Mill Road. There is a pool, so bring your swimming attire if so inclined.

MONTHLY MEETING: September 9 (Tuesday) - Social hour starts at 6 as we watch the opening of the Republican Convention on multiple screens at the Rhodeside Grill (corner of Wilson Blvd. and Rhodes in Arlington – about 3 blocks from the Courthouse Metro Station).

MONTHLY MEETING: October 14 (Tuesday) - The monthly meeting will consist of a social at Freddie’s Beach Bar in the Crystal City area of Arlington. Come early to get happy hour prices. No formal presentation is planned. If you choose, stay and have dinner with other members. This has been planned as a joint social with the DC chapter. Meet like-minded counterparts from across the river.
It will starts at 6 pm. Freddie’s Beach Bar is located at 555 S. 23
rd St. in Arlington’s Crystal City area. The closest Metro Station is the Crystal City stop.

November 4 (Tuesday) -General Election (President, Senate, and Congress)
MONTHLY MEETING: November 11 (Tuesday) - Social hour from 6 to 7; very short chapter meeting with a report by club officers, and then hear a presentation from Amy Walter on the probable implications of the election outcome. This will be a repeat of the excellent and insightful presentation that Amy made to the club after the last presidential election. In addition, this is a chance to ask questions and get answers from a real pro.

December 9 (Tuesday). In lieu of any formal monthly meeting, we will have our annual holiday party. It is tentatively planned to be held in a members home in the Clarendon area of Arlington. If you can bring a dish to share and want to coordinate that with the Social Chairman, contact Daniel Gri at (703) 281-1571.
