Members of the Log Cabin Republicans of Virginia take an active interest in a wide range of political issues, including those relating to sexual orientation. We're committed Republicans, sharing the party's central belief in limited government, personal liberty and economic freedom.
But we're not a monolithic group. We don't impose "litmus tests", and we're proud of the diversity of views among our members on many issues. We believe informed discussion and debate on those issues is healthy -- for our Club, our party, and our community.

Quotable Quotes |
Richmond Times-Dispatch Friday, February 17, 2006 Barry Goldwater, speaking in 1981: "I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that, if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in A, B, C, or D . . . .I am even more angry as a legislator who must endure the threats of every religious group who thinks it has some God-granted right to control my vote on every roll call in the Senate." |
